I have recently started using the Tag Div Composer to replace original publish date to modified date on single post pages. However, when I check on my phone (not resizing browser), I still see the original published date.
Here’s my previous discussion on Themeforest – https://themeforest.net/item/newspaper/5489609/comments?page=869&filter=all#comment_22220820
Please help.
Hi,
In the mobile version is not showing the Modified Date because you are using the mobile theme plugin, unfortunately this do not have for the moment the Modified Date option; in order to have this option on mobile, please deactivate the mobile theme plugin.
Thank you!
Have the same question. @Calin, is there some way we can edit it to get the updated time on the mobile too?
I can see it’s updated on archives and home page, but not on the article pages.
Hi @vamsinani24,
If you want to use the modified date on post on responsive version of Newspaper theme ( not mobile theme plugin ) you need to use a single post template from tagDiv Cloud Library and set the single post modified date element using tagDiv Composer

-> https://www.screencast.com/t/NAEhbrP8R
Unfortunately this is the only solution for the moment.
Thank you!
hi, @calin!
I’m already using the single post template [as a default] for all my articles. In that, I’m already using a modified date – http://prntscr.com/o0ykbp but it’s only appearing in the desktop mode [example – http://prntscr.com/o0ylx2%5D and when I open the same article in mobile version, it just shows the published date but not modified date – http://prntscr.com/o0yn1d

right now, I’m using a third-party plugin to display the modified date & time and the end, but I’m not sure if Google would consider it. So, I really need some help in showing the modified date in the mobile version as well as in AMP.

Hi, @Calin
Every post on the website – https://www.igadgetsworld.com & https://www.igadgetsworld.com/news doesn’t show the modified date on the mobile version.
As an example, you can check this link – https://www.igadgetsworld.com/news/asus-rog-phone-2-120hz-launch/2153/ this is the page I used to take the screenshots.
@calin
This has a serious impact on my traffic. Look at my article date – https://prnt.sc/o1bfwc even after I updated the article. Let me know a solution as early as possible, or give me a source where I can download the previous version, so I can roll back.
Hi,
As I said above, if you are using the mobile theme plugin, the Modified Date will not working on mobile version, if you want to sue that option you need to deactivate the mobile theme plugin.

Thank you!
I get that. It’s just, it used to work till 9.7.2, and I manually changed the get time to get modified time in the theme files. Even then it’s not working. Any way that I can edit themefiles or plugin files to show it?
Hi,
The only method tested for Modified Date is the one that I suggest to you above, in order to insert the modified date in mobile theme plugin you need to do some custom work and we do not have for the moment a team to do that, sorry!
Thank you for your understanding!
Any way to roll back to the previous version- 9.7.2? I didn’t take a backup!
Hi,
You can send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and ask for the version of Newspaper you need and we’ll provide to you.
Thank you!
