Module overwrite from child theme does not work

I am trying to overwrite the default behavior of Newspaper/includes/modules/td_module_8.php file. Actually I want to hide date/time based on a meta field value. In fact it worked well with my previous theme so that’s not a problem. The problem is after following the child theme tutorial https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-child-theme-support-tutorial/ I copied Newspaper/includes/modules/td_module_8.php to Newspaper-child/includes/modules/td_module_8.php. But it is still using the module from parent theme. I am very good in WordPress development so that’s not a problem with overwriting templates of Parent theme by child theme. But here it wont use the module i am placing in the child theme. The Newspaper-child theme is in effect as I am using functions and styles from child theme which works very well. Any idea, what might be wrong?

Created new module in child theme structure
