Momentum – moving icons overlays

Hello, I have not found any instructions in the “Momentum” theme on how to add or delete overlays to images or moving icons in general. I have seen in the media library that there are individual PNG files that have been added to the images as overlays. Does anyone have detailed instructions for beginners? I am not a developer, scripter or professional. Many thanks
