More articles box and how to offset latest articles

Hi,
This still persists to be a problem, the more articles box shows random posts from as old as 3 months. There is no option in the theme panel where i can show articles from the same category from the last 7 days.

Also the popular posts from last 8 days does not work. I have enables last 7 days post sorting in the newspaper panel, but nothing happens. It just comes out as blank on the right hand side popular widget, so i am left with no choice but to use random posts from last seven days.

Lastly, how can I offset the latest posts by 4. As the first four are shown at the top of the page. I do not want them to be repeated on in the latest posts river. Also i do not want to use the unique articles feature in the HP as then the popular from last 7 days and also the editor picks from last 7 days goes blank.

Thanks

Hi,

1. I’ve added this on our list, we’ll try to add the 7days sort option in one of the next updates.

2. If you use a cache plugin the 7days post sorting option doesn’t provide precise results. We have this on our list, Radu is looking for a solution.

3. Use the offset option present on the Latest Articles settings panel – http://screencast.com/t/lGFAMan4yg

Thank you!

thanks emil, i will look forward to these updates.

Also, A bug appeared, when you copy paste text from MS word to the wordpress editor the numbers before a dot “.” disappear if it is after a bold word.

For eg CPU 1.2 ghz comes as just 2 GHZ. when you paste in wordpress.

Or Camera 5.7 MP camera comes as just 7 MP camera when you copy paste from MS word.
Totally weird.

this could be a WP problem and not related to NEWSPAPER theme.

Hi,

MS Word and other similar editors come with format data. WordPress should automatically clear this format data and the theme doesn’t interfere with this process. Try to paste the text on a text file in Notepad (this should remove the format data) and then copy it from the text file and paste it in wordpress, see if the issue is still there. You can also check if this issue appears with a wordpress default theme.

You can also try this option – http://screencast.com/t/yVvSMA2toS

Thank you!
