I want to preload more than the current 4 posts preview into the mega menu, more precisely I desire a second row of previews for a total of 8.

Even increasing the limit to 8 in td_menu.php the megamenu only shows 4 articles, that’s probably not the correct line to edit because the default limit set into the file was 5.
Here is the default line “‘limit’ => ‘5’,”.

If you set the limit to 10, it will show up on 2 columns on mega-menus that do not have sub-categories:
