By default, the “related work” appears before “more from this author.” How can I swap that so that “more from this author” appears by default and the user has to click for “related work”? Thanks.

Maybe additional options can be available regarding this section in future updates, but I could not say for sure when this will happen. Another option would be to disable the Related articles feature, and use a shortcode containing a block set to display the posts you want. Something like this for example
