More narrow main content so background image display

Hi,
At lower browser width the page background does not display as it does with a larger display. If the browser is scaled to say 80% the background does display and I think it looks better. Is there a method to have the template display more narrow so the background display without messing up the design / scalability of the template?

Thanks!

Hello kamoe,

Please provide some useful screenshots with your desired changes so I will be able to provide a more accurate response. Also, you should provide your website URL so I take a closer look inside it.

Thanks for your understanding!

Hi Catalin, sure:
First screenshot is 1024 display width.. browser at 100% zoom.
Second screenshot is same display width, browser at 67% zoom.

Ofcorse I cant design the page for users to zoom out. But if I could set the width of the main window (white area with content) more narrow so that the background image display at lower display width it would be nice.

Hello,

Sorry but our theme width cannot be altered. If you want to see the background on smaller devices, you should zoom out but our theme has no way of controlling the browser zoom. You will have to search for plugins that have this capability.

Thank you!

Hi, well zooming is not an option … it was just to illustrate what I wanted to achieve. But then the answer is that this cannot done and messing with it in CSS/HTML will “break” the theme?

Yes, messing with the theme width will break the theme elements. Not the theme itself but the blocks and grids. We built our theme with a fixed width in mind and we adapted the theme elements to this fixed width and created the responsiveness based on it as well.
Thank you!
