More problems with latest update

A few headaches after the latest update for my site as well. The big issue is that my customers who are trying to buy a subscription get this endless spinning wheel when they try to check out. It never goes past the check out page. The other problem that I just noticed is that my site isn’t showing properly in Google Chrome.

Hello!

Please reinstall TagDiv Composer plugin, also make sure your WordPress and plugins are up to date.
Sometimes, the issue can be from a plugin conflict, that’s why, please deactivate ALL plugins except tagDiv ones, also if you are using a cache plugin, deactivate it, clear all cache and try again.

Let us know about your results!

Thank you!

Yes, I tried this. The site is loading on Google Chrome now, but the main problem persists: the credit card payment won’t go through.

I see a 404 error on Chrome console.

404

This doc from WooCommerce identifies several possible errors for this problem, one of them being JavaScript related. https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/endless-loadingspinner-on-the-checkout-page/

Here’s another clue about this problem. The WooCommerce doc also states, under “Invalid Response from an AJAX Call”:

“You may also see a response of -1, This is a security failure and is caused by a cached nonce.”

Here’s what I see under the XHR tab:

nonce

One more clue. This WooCommerce doc also says “View the XHR tab on your browser’s developer console and look at the response. The expected response would be JSON. If the response is HTML this can be caused by a couple of different things. Oftentimes this is caused by an index.html file in the root directory of the WordPress installation. This can be resolved by either removing the index.html file or by adjusting the indexes directive on the server configuration and prioritizing index.php over index.html. Some caching plugins will also prepend HTML to the JSON response.”

I do indeed see a doc type of html.

I see a million posts on this forum right now about the problems people are having with 10.4. When will the fixes be coming for the problems this updated created for so many people on here?

We have noticed this as well on all sites running WooCommerce and the Newspaper theme. We downgraded to 10.3.9 and it fixed the issue.

Thinking of switching to a new theme after this and the support is ve received through email. What a nightmare

I’m seriously considering switching too.
It took hours just to find that the issue was with the theme and I don’t see any concret response on the forum about it.

The 10.4 release is an act of violence. What utter garbage.

The usual response is “turn off all other plugins and only use TagDiv” … not a very practical response!

I switched themes and this problem went away. I suggest you all do the same as well
