Most Popular/Views – Not Working As Expected

Hi,

I put a block on the front page to list posts, ordered by popularity (all time) on the right hand side as can be seen on http://www.virtualfestivals.com/

The top story has 177 or so views (http://www.virtualfestivals.com/news/rammstein-to-go-pinkpop-in-2016/) but the main story on the home page, which isn’t featured on the sidebar has over 200 (http://www.virtualfestivals.com/news/take-that-named-as-first-act-for-british-summer-time-2016/)

Any reason why? No cache plugin but I am running the site through CloudFlare, so does this mean I need to use https://forum.tagdiv.com/ajax-view-count/

Probably you are using the unique articles on your homepage. Please try to disable this feature and test it again and see if the problem appear. http://screencast.com/t/lmbQ2hU3Qq

Thanks – but I need unique articles, I really don’t want duplicates everywhere. Is there no alternative?

Hi JanuszJasinski,

Another possibility would be to filter the posts in block after some category ID, such as in this example: http://screencast.com/t/Y23UgUmmVzhe – http://screencast.com/t/vAejOgELGk and the unique articles-disabled.
