The content on my sidebar is slightly dropped compared to other sites, not badly but a few cm.
How can I move it up so that it is level with the post title or breadcrumb?

Its not a rogue widget as I tried moved them around. Is there some custom CSS to shift it up?

The position of the sidebar depends on the post template you selected in post settings. DIfferent post templates have different layouts. You can check post templates here to see how they display:
