Hi Guys, Does anyone know how to move the author card to below the headine? or put a simpler version (Name only) of it below the headline?

Who our articles are written by is very important and we would love to at least mention them at them at top of the post rather than at the end.

Cheers.

Hello heavyside,

I suppose that you are referring to author box. If you want to change the place of this feature, you have to do some changes in code. You have to alter the code in loop-single-1.php according to your single template used by you, like this -> http://screencast.com/t/RtXCVE3F6Kv
The result you should see here -> http://screencast.com/t/Llga46vB5tz

If is not what you mean, please provide more details for your desired change so I will be able to provide a more accurate response.

Thank you for the message!

Hi Catalin,

Thank you very much for answering this question, I had a similar query, actually. I want to put my author boxes on the sidebar, though, at the very top. Is there a way of doing that on the code?

Many thanks
Angie

Hello Angie,

Please notice that you can use Author Box widget to insert it in your Sidebar from Widgets Area like this -> http://screencast.com/t/3nzlPn4VL

Hope this helps!

If is not what you mean, please provide more details.

Thanks.

Hey Catalin,

the “Authors Box” Widget provides a listing of all “authors” registered to a given site (or a subset of roles or the like). The widget is not able to display the information that are shown in the “about the author” area (profile picture and “about the user” text) related to an article or page.

Bogdan stated in another thread that the Nespaper Theme is not able provide this functionality by design and suggests looking for a plugin. Problem is that so far nobody seems to know if there is anything like this at all.

Thanks.
