In my home page template I have selected one block with multiple categories, But it does not show those categories.
What we can do

Hi
Make sure you added the correct categories ids: http://screencast.com/t/BnnvgubAk3H and also check if you get the ids like here: http://screencast.com/t/8VSDGQi4GEW Also try to clear all caches and test again.
If you still have this issue please provide your site url so I can have a closer look at this issue.
