Hi there, I am trying to add some visibility control to my menu items using this plugin here: https://wordpress.org/plugins/menu-items-visibility-control/ and also the popular plugin https://wordpress.org/plugins/nav-menu-roles/ also for just showing menu items when a user is logged in and not logged in etc. Both plugins do not work with the latest version of your theme unfortunately right now. I have tested a few times now and its the actual them that is causing both plugins to not display there settings in the menu items area here: https://cl.ly/0A23441G411P
Any ideas on a fix for this as its very hard indeed to have any kind of a members area on this theme without those types of plugins working? Thanks in advance, James
Hello,
Sorry but since the plugins are not tested with our theme i cannot provide any insight into this issue. Untested plugins and their implementation are not part of the theme support. You should look for a membership plugin that works with our theme. Try a few of them out and see which one works best.
Thanks.
@Bogdan B no membership plugin will work with your theme actually if you cannot hide menu items for logged in users. Yes there is the coding method of course and custom development but that is a major set back for those who want to use membership plugins out of the box. in fact you advertise woocommerce support for the theme and yes it works well but without the ability to hide certain menu items easily then even woocommerce becomes difficult to use frankly. I am surprised in over 2 years of flagging this issue that nobody on your team has bothered to test actually – that is another worry for people who might want to choose your theme here. Most theme developers would test plugins when flagged with them, especially after 2 years of people raising the issue. I will look to the custom method now.
I have gotten word that it will not be supported for now as other features are taking priority. The only way around this is to deactivate your theme and then set the menu roles and then reactivate your theme each time. It will work then. Hope this helps
