We have a navigation menu and inside that, we have pages, categories, and other custom links. Some don’t have a link(link set to #). For the menus which we set the link to # is opening in a new window. Why is this issue happening? There is an option in every menu item to target the page opening but this is not from that. How can we fix this issue?
example:- People menu in the header navigation.

We have fixed the issue. It was coming from a plugin called “Nofollow for external link”, the plugin automatically adds the attribute ‘target=”_blank”‘ for every custom link.
