Great theme, guys!
I am in URGENT need of a 100% purely BLANK page template that can be selected from the “page attributes” box in the “template” drop down menu.
If you ever have seen the FlexSqueeze theme, it has a page template called “HTML Paste Template” which is 100% BLANK. Zero showing on the page, pure white. No header, no menu, no sidebar, no footer, no post loop, nothing. Sorry to say it again and again but it has to have absolutely NOTHING whatsoever on it.
So if you selected this template, and typed the word “test” in the WYSIWYG editor and published, you would get a completely blank page with the word “test” in the upper left corner in default font.
The best outside example I can give is when you use this online editor:
http://htmleditor.in/index.html
If you erase the text that is showing, it’s a pure white blank page that only shows what you type. Type nothing and the page shows nothing at all.
We are on deadline and urgently need the code for this php template that can be added to the theme via ftp as an additional template in the folder which holds the other page templates.
Thank you in advance for your help!
Hi Steven,
Thanks for your feedback. When I select “Homepage – Blank” I get a page which still shows menu, header and footer, so that unfortunately isn’t the solution for our needs.
We are in urgent need of a truly blank page template which is 100% BLANK. Zero showing on the page, pure white. No header, no menu, no sidebar, no footer, no post loop, nothing. Sorry to say it again and again but it has to have absolutely NOTHING whatsoever on it.
Thanks again, Steven. If I understand correctly, your suggested solution would affect all pages on the site. If that’s the case then it would not work for us. We need the menu on the rest of the site. We are trying to solve the problem of how to create one blank page and not how to make the whole site blank.
Do I understand correctly or am I missing something?
Again, thanks for your assistance!
You have to make a page just for this for it to work…wordpress and this theme can do what you asking it’s not that hard,I’m trying to help you and you keep knocking my help down,oh well then i not help you any more, because i already told you how to get it done and you still saying this not work etc..if you know how to do it then you will not be in this support form asking for help, good luck
>> “You have to make a page just for this for it to work”
Yes, we have already created a page that we want to be blank, but disabling the menus, header and footer in theme settings as you suggested also disables them site-wide, so could you please explain in a bit more detail how your solution allows one page only to be blank while preserving menus, header and footer on the rest of the pages?
>> “i already told you how to get it done and you still saying this not work etc..”
If we misunderstand something then please clear up the confusion, because your solution as stated will not work for us in our situation.
Thanks!
The page you made, after you have to go in “Appearance” then MENU after look for the page you made and when you do choose header for that page and disable the headers for that page at the bottom of the menu settings and you do the same for the footer these settings will be only for that “BLANK PAGE” not the rest of the site,so in the theme settings where i send you before don’t used those settings used the ones only for the page you made…
Thanks.

Under APPEARANCE -> MENU, I was unable to find how to set a menu for only one page. I found the page we made on the left side, but was only able to select it to be included INTO a menu. Couldn’t find how to specify one page to have a different menu configuration than the others.
That should be very easy look for “create a new menu” then after drag the page to that menu that you created for the header, then you have to creat another menu for the footer,so in total you need 2 menus..
Btw this is not a theme issue why you not went to wordpress forms for help because this is more about wordpress and not the theme…
Hi,
Sorry for the delay!
Extract this file in theme root: tagdiv.com/theme/users/page-full-blank.zip
and select it as page template http://screencast.com/t/keUaXwPS
Marius – works well, thanks! Although there seems to still be a bit of a margin on the left side and top:
i can make this work, and really appreciate it, but is there any way to get the page to be truly blank with zero formatting, so the word goes to the hard left, and also to the very top as well?
steven – thank you again for your assistance!
Hello again, Marius.
unfortunately, there’s something wrong with the blank page template. it is breaking layouts.
a page that displays correctly with the default theme setting displays broken when cloned and set to full page blank template.
example:
correct:
http://marketertalk.com/live-default-template/
broken:
http://marketertalk.com/live-full-page-blank-template
[the content inside of the tabs is no longer displaying correctly]
another example:
correct:
http://marketertalk.com/ticker-test-default-template/
broken:
http://marketertalk.com/ticker-test-full-page-blank-template/
[the ticker disappears]
any help you can provide urgently would be greatly appreciated! we are on deadline. thank you in advance!
Hi,
I’ve done that template that keep the grid, not only an empty page, the page should work with the page builder, and you add there shortcodes and other stuff that should work.
You can remove the code from the template provided to make it full width, without the grid, but you need the header for javascript, css, etc. I’m not sure will work.
If you are not a developer, we recommend to hire one to make this job done for you.
Thanks for the message!
