As with all normal wp themes, posts are for articles and pages are for info pages like about, privacy, etc.

You need to use a tool like Yoast WordPress SEO or XML Sitemap Generator to create an XML sitemap. I know of no WordPress theme which has a built-in XML sitemap generator, nor does this theme. Some themes can build an “on page” sitemap, but this is unwieldly for a magazine site as there is no point in having a single page with potentially thousands of links. A non XML sitemap was useful before the XML sitemap era, but now this is done with XML sitemap. So, either XML Sitemap Generator plugin, or Yoast WordPress SEO plugin would work.
The Yoast WordPress SEO plugin is “recommended” if you wish to do proper SEO including control of META tags, OG tags, Twitter Card elements, custom titles and meta descriptions for archive pages, etc., *and* setup and submit XML sitemaps to your Google Webmaster account.
Why not install it and try it? (Yoast SEO). You can always uninstall it without hurting anything.
