I need help for the blow two questions:
1) We have custom code inside the Theme Panel Settings. Do we have to create a child theme to keep it after future theme updates? Or is it ok to stay in the Theme Panel?
2) How can we move designs from the sub-domain to the actual domain? Is it ok to do it with the cloud library?

Hi,
1. All the code that you set in theme panel will be keep after you make the update, only the changes that you make in theme files will be override, the settings from theme panel will remain.

2. I do not quite understand what you want to move from sub-domain on domain, only the cloud templates or all the website.
Some users recommend the duplicator plugin for migrating/moving websites, here are some guides I found about it
