How can i get custom post types to show in Related articles and More Stories?

Hello,
Sorry but the element will not work with custom post types. The related articles will check for the post type and default category taxonomy. A custom post type is not a “post” post type and does not have a ‘category’ as a taxonomy. The element was created on the standard post and category structure. It can only be done with customization but custom work falls beyond what the theme support can offer you.
