You will have to use an Event plugin, unfortunately I can’t make any suggestions as we haven’t tested any plugins of this type with the theme so I can’t recommend one and guarantee it will also work.
The sign in widget is available only if you use top-menu(we will try to find a better implementation for it), it is not available like a widget or block so if you want to make some modifications or display it in another section here you can find the code – http://screencast.com/t/Ehuxgy8eT

The theme doesn’t have such a widget, but you could use a plugin like Mailchimp – https://wordpress.org/plugins/mailchimp-for-wp/
