Hi,

I’m really struggling to create new paragraphs on pages and posts.

Can you see what I’m doing wrong please?

Many thanks,

Hello 4Musky,

Where exactly do you have encountered the problems with paragraphs? Please be more specific so I will be able to provide a more accurate response. You can provide a screen pointing to the desired result, it would help us to understand what you’re trying to do.

Thanks.

Hi,

If you look at the link I sent

This text underneath chicken image

“The team was co-founded in December 2015 by Co-CEOs Koby Barak and Ido Savir along with Hebrew University Professor Yaakov Nahmias.

The startup is currently running a campaign on Indiegogo to get the ball rolling on their project; the goal is to raise at least $100,000.”

You will see that (on my website) there is no new paragraph after Nahmias and The startup.
Viewed on Microsoft Edge browser.

However, when I copied the text here, the new paragraph WAS created as desired.

I wanted to send screenshots to you but I’m not sure how to do this (I’m not very technically conversant!

Any ideas please?

Many thanks

THis sometimes happens when pasting into WordPress from external file; not theme specific typically.

Try changing to the “visual” view or the “text” editor view, to see if paragraph tag actually there or not. Also sometimes plugins like auto linking stuff, or ad insertion stuff, or “shortcodes” can mess up the paragraph breaks.

Had this issue with photo recently on one post, could not figure out why, in Newsmag. Had to end up manually wrapping photo in a <p></p> tag set to get it to space properly with the alignnone class.

Not sure that helps in any way, just some feedback.

Hi,

Rectified!

There is a setting in WordPress eitor where you can toggle the editor and paste as plain text which strips out any lingering formatting.

Then the default formatting native to Newspaper7 takes over.

Many thanks
