New Posts won't show in blocks for designated categories

I imported the default content from the template. Now I’m putting in new posts and assigning them to categories (some old categories, some new). When I edit the category filters on the block it will not display the new posts only the ones that came with the template. I tried to assign them to different categories, old, new etc but it will only display the old posts. The categories in the post are selected and are identical to the default template posts.

I actually figured this out so nevermind. Apparenty the old blocks had the original articles cached or something. I just added a new element, and then added the block type I wanted and they automatically pulled in the new posts.
