Hi, we use the Newspaper X theme for our gaming news website . Since the last theme update, we have been facing the following problems:
1. Our website is monetized by Google Ads. We can see them in Tagdiv composer, however some ads aren’t visible on the website, even after ad code was placed in the theme panel. This problem is only for the Desktop site, for mobile we are using mobile theme + amp which shows ads perfectly.
2. When we open a category page from the main menu, it always shows the latest posts on top, which shouldn’t happen.
The posts under review category don’t show up at all.

3. We are using the Magazine Pro template, and it came with some background images like the image in the footer. We have removed all those images however in the gtmetrix waterfall tab, for some posts we can see those images are loading even after they were removed.

For the AMP issue please remove and reinstall AMP, from what we are aware this is a known issue from AMP.

1. You seem to have misunderstood the issue, the ads are showing completely fine on mobile view.
It’s the desktop view where we are having the problem, the ads simply don’t show. We have inserted the ad-codes in the theme panel for sidebar ad, article in-line ad and article bottom ad, from all of these only bottom article ad and sidebar ad shows up, in-article ads are not showing at all.
In the Adsense account, auto ads are set to on.
2. Big Grid Flex 1 is working as expected, however Posts Loop for various categories are not working correctly. We have two articles with Review as a category but it doesn’t show. Likewise for the News category we have multiple articles that were added recently but they don’t show up. From this Screenshot you can see that the latest articles in the Post Loop are from July but there are 4-5 news articles with News category that were added in August.

3. Gtmetrix Waterfall Tab shows that the image (3.jpg) is loading , this image came with the Magazine Pro Template.

4. We had successfully passed core web vitals for both Mobile And Desktop on Pagespeed insight after a lot of optimization, however now its shows core web vitals not passed for Desktop, even when no optimization changes where made to the site. Can you provide us any help to pin-point the reason for this?

2. Post loop element is an older element which is no longer recommended to use. We recommend you to use Flex blocks since offer more flexibility.
3. That image can be removed from cPanel or you can remove it from Media library.
4. That is not actually a test meant to be passed: https://gtmetrix.com/reports/gamerswayout.com/48r5UTzR/ It is recommended that your page speed to be above 80%. On your waterfall as you can see the images are a big issue since they take to much time to load.
