New version and WPBakery

Hi,

Not taken the chance to update to the new version yet but have a questions regarding WPBakery which I use with Newspaper.

You write that: “4.2 Existing customer previously using the WPBakery Page Builder
This update will bring a small change in the way you work with Newspaper Theme as you will need to activate the tagDiv Composer plugin and keep it enabled.

Go to your WordPress admin area > Newspaper> Plugins and click the tagDiv Composer “Install/Activate” button.”

How is this if you have WPBakery as a separate plugin? I’ve got a separate license for WpBakery and don’t use the version that comes with the theme. Do I still need to activate Tagdiv composer? Last time I activeted tagdiv composer it caused all sorts of problems (and it can’t be used on pages) so I would prefer to avoid having it activated.

Hope you can give me some good advice.

Thanks,
Lars

Hi,

When you’ll be updating to the Newspaper 9.7 version, you’ll need to activate the tagDiv Composer to keep the Newspaper theme functionality you’ve previously used.

If you do not want to Have tagDiv Composer activate, you can make a test on localhost and see the changes.

Thank you for your understanding!

Hi Calin,

Thanks. But can you please respond directly to my question?

So Newspaper will not work at all without TagDiv composer? Is that what you’re saying? Which functionality will not work? ¨

Is Newspaper totally unusable without TagDiv Compoers from 9.7? Yes/No.

If “no” – Will WpBakery work if you have a separate lisence together with Newspaper?

Best regards

Hi,

If you do not have tagDiv Composer activate Newspaper theme will be like a default theme from WordPress, is not need to use it, but you need to have it activate.

There will be not difference if you choose to by a license for WpBakery, this plugin will work the same.

Thank you for your understanding!
