This is regarding http://www.Roadblazing.com website running in Newspaper 12.2 theme.
Recently when opening images in articles from the site gallery using Firefox browser on Windows PC, such images can only be opened and saved as WebP images.
Previously the images could be opened and saved the original uploaded .JPEG images.
On Android phones the images can still be opened and saved as .JPEG images
Why is this occurring only in the browser on the PC?
Is there any way to restore the previous functionality of opening images as .JPEG images?

You can choose “All files” and write “.jpg” after the name of the file.

I did as you suggested in both Firefox and Chrome browsers.
By manually typing the .jpg suffix after the image file name.
Still the downloaded image cannot be read by any image software.
Something else must be amiss. This functionality of opening and saving by download as a .JPEG was operating correctly as of a week ago.
On the mobile Chrome browser the images can be downloaded directly as .JPEG
Please be aware we have sent a previous inquiry regarding an issue the latest 12.3 version of Newspaper them was causing with the Slideshow app.

We uninstalled the 12.3 version of the theme, reverting to 12.2 to retain full Slideshow App functionality.
Perhaps the two issues are connected.

If the problem has already been announced, then we will wait so this problem can also be solved. But I think this is more about the browser. Please make sure you do not have any extra extensions that can block this procedure.
