News counter/views

Hello guys,

1. Anyone can tell me how can I reset my news counter/views?
2. Can I make my counter to detect only 1 IP for 1 read of news? Now is not ok because every refresh in article is +1 read and its not real count actually.

Hello weezyworld,

1)Unfortunately, our theme does not have any such an option that allows you to reset the post view counter but you can change the number of it from each post in Custom Field like this -> https://www.screencast.com/t/iFha937A4k -> https://www.screencast.com/t/SLonmMbDO
2)Sorry, no. The theme will counter each view of your posts, whether the view was accessed from the same IP.

Thanks for the info but please, think about this options to add them in some next theme update soon as possible.
Your theme is great, but this is normal options who our theme cant use.

Best to learn to use server-side metrics which are included with most hosting platforms except the budget ones. These track actual site visits based on IP, most popular pages, top IPs, etc., by day, week, month.

You may want to just try Google Analytics for the time being if the above isn’t possible, or use both GA, and server side reporting.

Theme authors don’t include complex reader metrics dashboards as that has nothing to do with the actual presentation of information, and is related to web traffic measurement.
