News Ticker Style 2 leaves box when no content

I am using Style 2 of the News Ticker and it works great if there is a post in the selected category. But I am using it as a Breaking News feature and will not always have a post in that category. When there is not a post, there is still space for the headline and the border around the box.

I tried changing the CSS to have a yellow background but have removed it because it left the yellow bar when there was no content.

I tried the default style but it was smaller than I wanted.

I forgot to put that this is on a test site txcraigs.com.

I have gone live with my real site hcnews.com but still testing tweaks on the test one.

Hello,

Unfortunately this is the default behavior of the trending now widget. In the default style, if there are no posts to display, then the ticker will not appear. In style 2, there will be the empty box present. If you want to change this behavior, you will have to edit the plugin files.
