Is it okey, if i’m not use child theme for newsmag? And what happened if i update theme automatically via envato market plugin? Is it my previous settings replaced if i’m update?

Hi,
The child theme should be used only if you want to do changed in the theme files and to keep theme save when the theme will be updates, but 80% do not need to do any changes to the theme files and for those there is no need to use a child theme.
The theme update can be done using the theme panel option and the theme settings will not be affected, but before any theme update we recommend to make a full backup for the site.- https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-how-to-update-the-theme/
