Hi,
We recommend to use the child theme that comes with the theme version you have, in this way there should be no problems.
So you’ll need to use the child theme from the theme package and set the content form old one in the new one, also make sure that you’ve checked the documentation for child theme -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-child-theme-support-tutorial/

We have recently updated our theme version to 10.2, but our child theme is Version: 9.0c.
What do you recommend doing in this case? do we need to setup the child theme altogether again?

If yes, how can we do that? please provide step by step information.
1- Where can we locate the new files? (keeping in mind that we simply updated our theme, and this is not a new purchase).
2- As we have updated our regular theme, but we are still running the old child theme which we were using before updating the regular theme, what do we have to do next in order to update the child theme as well?

In newspaper theme is recommend to use the child that is in Newspaper package because the standard templates were separated in standard pack plugin, so all you’ll need to do is to replace the Newspaper child folder and if you have set there for example single-loop-2.php then you’ll need to set them in sub folders (parts/single wp-content/plugins/td-standard-pack/Newspaper/parts/single/loop-single-1.php -> https://i.imgur.com/YpMRUXb.png) -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-child-theme-support-tutorial/ that is the only thing why we recommend to change the child

I do not quite understand, you set the child theme from Newspaper x and after that you’ve installed the Newspaper 9, if yes, then is not good. Until Newspaper 9.5 there was no nee to change the child theme after that it was need to change the theme functionality in tagDiv Composer, therefore the child theme was change, now in Newspaper X the old version of Newspaper was separated in standard pack there fore the child theme was need to be change again.

We installed the latest version of the theme (10.2), and got the child theme from there. This version of the child theme says 9.0C

Sorry, I think that our developers forgot to change the child theme version in the title, this will not affect the child theme, this will be fix in the coming update.
