Newspaper 10 / Post Templates Replacement / Copy Template From One Site To Other

Hi,

I am hoping you can give some advice to making the transition to Newspaper 10 easier.

1) So I am beginning the process of replacing dependencies so that I can use the full power of Newspaper 10.

Over the years I have used a variety of post templates. But namely Single Template 12 for blogs, and Single Template 10 for videos.

I note I can pretty much replace 12 with an equivalent from Cloud and use Theme Panel to apply it as default to all posts under site wide default post template.

But how do i tell the database that it should take all current posts using Single Template 10, and now use its equivalent which appears to be Cloud Template Single Template 9 ?

The guidance notes seem to imply i need to edit each single post ? But with 10,000 articles and no way on surface to see which one uses which template this is a monstrous task. Surely there should be an automated way to say posts using template x should now use Cloud Template y. ???

2) My plan is to use an offline copy of my site and create all the replacement dependencies templates there. Test it before applying to live site. How can i copy any templates I create, edit and re-design in the offline version of the site, into the live version of the site ? Is this possible ? Or do I have to create manually the equivalents on the live site rather than design them offline. This would obviously not be desirable as I would be duplicating work, and messing around with a live environment.

Can you advise as to how I can do this ?

How do i replace existing template choices with the new templates other than manually editing 10,000 articles. Is there a table in MySQL where I can search replace for example ?

I also had no answer to my question two.

IF i have to manually edit them. Is there a way to export the information the information as to what article uses what template. So that i can mark off each article as I fix it.

So for example I can see what articles out of the 10,000 are video articles, so I can manually change them and use the global default for everything else.
