All versions of Newspaper 12.x break the admin for the PublishPress Authors plugin. The 11.x versions all work fine. Something changed.
The issue can be seen in the admin table for displaying the authors. With any of the 12.x themes active, just the authors’ IDs show. No names, emails or other info is visible. The info is missing from the table entirely – not just hidden.
I am stuck using Newspaper 11.5.1 until this can be resolved. Please help?

I understand what you are saying, but unfortunately, the theme has never been tested with this plugin, therefore we have no way of knowing that the update to v12 will cause a problem with this pro plugin.
If you want, you can try to see what is different from update 11.5 to 12, in each update of the theme there is a patch with modified files, here it should be (patch_11.5_12).
