The new Newspaper Theme version 8.7 has serious issues. 1. It doesn’t load TD Composer on the default install and, more seriously 2. If I manually install TD Composer from the ZIP file it kills the Admin Dashboard (only a white screen). I have to uninstall the theme.

This usually happens because of ssl implementation not done properly. Please change the site url and home url to https if you have ssl enabled.
Also please make sure you do not use any untested plugins. Disable all plugins except the page builder, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it. Please also check any custom code you might have added to the theme panel or the theme files. If you use a child theme, please switch to the main theme to make sure it does not affect the proper functionality of the theme.
