Newspaper 8 and WordPress 4.7.5

I always make it a point to ask since I have experienced some bad stuff in the past with other themes and WP updates. Is Newspaper 8 and WordPress 4.7.5 totally good together when updating from Newspaper 7.8 and WordPress 4.7.3. Is there anything that will not make the trip intact? Can I expect my child theme modifications to survive? Just had to ask. Been burned before.

I guess I should also ask, just in case I am too skittish to update to NP8 at this point. Is Newspaper 7.8 and WordPress 4.7.5 okay together? I’m getting ready to launch a site and considering updating WP before doing so.

Hi,

There is no problem with the latest WordPress version and the previous theme version. Or with the new theme update. We have not had any compatibility issues reported. You can update or install the new theme version when you are ready.
It could happen that some modifications through the child theme may not work properly anymore, due to update changes to the theme files. This can happen after every theme update. You could test this locally and see if it is the case.
