Hi Guys, has anyone else had any issues with massive CPU usage when using Ads Pro by Scripteo with the Newspaper theme?
We’re using Ajax ads on our site and if we have any spikes in traffic, 100-200 real time users according to Google Analytics, the server shoots up to 100% CPU usage.
We’ve got a pretty robust dedicated server which has been using 12 full CPU cores to process ads, our hosting providers have commented how excessive this is.
According to my hosting guy, server stats from this morning showed we were maxing our CPU but had very few users on the site. They told us we were using almost our entire CPU allocation and 6GB of RAM with low disk I/O and only 4 entry processes running.
The moment we turn off the Ads Pro plugin, it all drops down to 10-20% percent…
Any ideas? we’re stumped.

The Ads Pro Plugin is an untested plugin with our theme, therefore we don’t know how this is should work.
Normally, if the plugin uses Ajax code for ads that means it makes many requirements for ads using that ajax code.
What I can suggest is to try with normal ads to see if the problem persists, also you can contact the authors of that plugin and let them know about this problem.
