Your instructions state to install new version in WordPress first de-activate and delete old version. There is no option to de-activate delete as there used to be. So how can I remove the old version from WordPress Theme panel?
Click on Themes, Mouse over the theme, “Theme Details” will appear, click on that to expand it, bottom right Corner in Red, “Delete”
Your solution does not work. Mousing over Theme does nothing.I’m sure I’m not the only one this is happening to.
Any other ideas? Is there a way to attach a screen shot?
I went back and tried again and yes the hover worked and theme details displays but there is no delete option. What the hell? There are 5 buttons under Details none of which are delete. The buttons are: Customize, Widgets, Menus, Edit CSS and Install plugins.
Hi,
First you need to activate a default theme ->https://www.screencast.com/t/ZcoSPgCPy after that click on Newspaper theme -> https://www.screencast.com/t/ekNlHFUc5B
Hope this will help you!
Thanks.
No this does not help. You cannot activate a theme while one is still active. Even your own instructions say to delete the theme first. Clearly there is a bug that is not showing the delete option. Now can you stand by your product and help solve this? All the other themes show delete. Previous versions of newspaper showed delete. Can someone take a serious look at this issue and not throw out answers without truly assessing it?
Hi,
Please check our documentation about How to Update the Newspaper Theme for WordPress -> https://tagdiv.com/update-newspaper-theme/
If there is still a problem, you can send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide admin login, as well as cPanel or FTP if possible. We will take a look. Include a link to this topic in the email.
Thanks.
