Newspaper errors when Better Messages plugin is activated

When Better Messages plugin for WordPress is activated, Newspaper theme start throwing errors:

There has been a critical error on this website.

If I deactivate this plugin, the theme works with no errors. Is there anything I can do to make Better Messages work with Newspaper theme?

I got this errors only with Newspaper theme, other themes works fine with this plugin.
