Why Newspaper v7.5 not working on php 7.1?

Hi,
The theme still use php 5 so it is not 100% compatible with php 7. At the moment the recommended version of PHP to use with our theme is version 5.6. Some functions get deprecated from one version to another and at this time we don’t recommend php 7. We plan to support it and from what I know our programmers are already working on it.
