I bought the template in 2019 and it hasn’t been updated since then. After the update, unfortunately, I had to restore the site’s backup. I am forced to test the template on a local server – here I do not know if I can activate Newspaper on another server for the second time? Nothing will be damaged on the current active site?
In the new version there is something like “Cloud Library” and it does not work without activating the template. I can’t test and modify the template like I used to.
Additionally, pagebuilder doesn’t work after updating – shortcode is displayed like:

Does it work on the current version?

Those are shortcodes from tagDiv Standard pack plugin, you need to go in Newspaper > plugins and install/activate the plugin from there.
Indeed, if the theme is not activated and the license key to be assigned on the website, most of the theme featured are not available.
A license key can be use for one live website and for a test website (it can be on localhosts, on staging, on subdomain or on a different domain).
