None of the options in the Newspaper panel, when selected, update.
The circular loading wheel just spins, and spins.
PLease advise.

I had this same issue. it was my cache system. disable all cache first. save your options and then it will worked.

Usually this issue is related to a firewall or security module which blocks admin-ajax.php request. Please verify the console for error while saving the settings on the Theme Panel, usually it displays a 403 or 404 error, if you have these errors, you will have to contact your host and let them know that your admin-ajax.php is blocked either by firewall or the security settings.
If you don’t use a security plugin, please ask your host about this, maybe you have a security module which blocks this.
If you use a plugin like Wordfence please set it in learning mode.

Thanks, I followed your advice contacted the host, they checked everything out, escalated and then confirmed that the issue lies with the theme design.
They thought it was “Modsecurity rule which has caused the issue was added to white list.”
But it still didn’t work.
I’ve put the licence key inand have been clearing cache everytime a change is made but no options on the theme panel will allow me to update.
Any other things it could be?
