I’ve installed the Eventon Calendar plugin from Envato and it doesn’t work. Eventon support tells me this is a problem of the Newspaper theme, which blocks the handlebar script. Exactly, the Eventon developer says:

The truth is that if I change Newspaper for another wordpress theme, the problem disappears

Also, please note that we don’t offer support for untested plugins.

The question is: does the Newspaper theme deliberately block handlebar script? Handlebar is not a script of that plugin, but a general script. That is the question, because the problem is with the Newspaper theme. When I switch to another theme, the problem disappears. The theme has many problems. The same thing is happening to me with other similar plugins like Stachethemes Event Calendar. The problem is the same: if you’re not logged in, you can’t see it. The plugin authors say the same as everyone else: that the tagdiv composer has a problem. Will you fix it please? I have more than ten websites working with your theme. Don’t we deserve a little attention?

The team from support, understand the situation best and we try to convince the developers team that this need to be fix as soon as possible, only that sometimes it is not so easy, but in the end gender problems are solved by developers, we hope that this time, it will be fixed in the coming theme update or if is not possible in the coming one.
