Indeed the last theme update has few bugs that our developers will fix soon. Also, after tests that we made for our live demos, we get a good score https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper_pro/ , but the page speed is not related only to the theme that you are using, this is affected by plugins/content/ads/ external resources, etc.
If you facing a specific problem with our theme, we like to investigate it to make the theme better.
