How can I make the Newspaper theme stop interfering with WordPress default search? The results people get from the user-facing search field are often completely irrelevant and unordered.
When I use search from within the WordPress Dashboard, I get decent results. But search from within the Newspaper theme is totally messed up. My web guy says the theme is interfering with default search.
How do we fix this?
The problem appears to be with the Newspaper theme, as when I switch to WordPress 2022, search works just fine.

My web guy fixed the issue by switching from the Magazine Pro Search Template to Search Template 3. He works with a number of sites using Newspaper, and for any of them that use search templates with similar code: not all posts are displayed for a given search. Any site using the Magazine Pro template (and most of your demo search templates) DO NOT search titles for instance and miss tons of other relevant posts. He is now working directly with tagDiv to show them the problem in the hope that they can fix the errant templates. But in the meantime my site is now using Search Template 3, and search has been restored to normal.
