Newspaper theme on mobile – the search function does not work

Hi.
When the site is opened on the mobile, when clicking the search symbol or when clicking the three lines (on the meny), a message comes up beneath the meny in Norwegian language (the site is thecar.no): “This site was reloaded due to a fault” [translated]. This issue does not appear when the site is loaded on the laptop.

Best,
Glenn

Hello glennkr,

I have checked your website and your search function seems to work as expected as you can see here -> https://www.screencast.com/t/36ytKy5pu Make sure that you are using the latest version of the theme installed via FTP way, remove all of the untested plugins, clear all the caches and check the results.

Thanks for your understanding!

Hi.
Thank you for the reply.
If I open one of the posts on the main page and then click on the search symbol on the navigation bar (using the phone), then everything seems to work as usual. However, when I click on the search symbol from the main page (i.e. without entering any of the posts first from the main page), then I get an error message. The same happens if I click on the menu-button (three lines) on the navigation bar.

If I do not use the phone, but the laptop, everything works fine.

It is peculiar that it works for your phone and not mine. I have another site, which I am also using the Newspaper theme, and there everything works also when using my phone.

In advance, thank you for the help.

Hello glennkr,

Please provide some useful screenshots with this error so I can identify it. I have checked your website and I did not saw any problems with your search on your website. Also, I suggest you disable all of the untested plugins which can interfere with the theme core files and causes a lot of unknown problems. Clear all the caches and check the results.

Thanks for the message!
