Newspaper Theme Panel not making changes

I am a newcomer to Newspaper and not a developer.
I have recently downloaded a new demo onto my website and a header and footer cloud template.
I have tried to make changes using the Theme Panel but the changes aren’t reflected on any page.
Is there any more in-depth information and/or can you assist?
Regards
James

Hello !

Please let us know what demo have you installed. Please note that all PRO demos and cloud library templates are fully editable using tagDiv Composer, so the changes that you do in Theme panel will no longer apply.

Thank you !

Thanks Vlad

I understand that the imported themes can only be edited via tagDiv Composer.
As an example i have downloaded the Amberlight footer theme. I have opened the composer but unlike other elements there is no style tab.
I have changed the colour in the background gradient and saved it but that makes no difference. i cannot see any information in your documentation as to how to do this?
i have to admit after a few days using your product i am beginning to regret buying it. I can see that it could be a great but i struggle to see how it is applicable for beginners. it is very complicated, which would be fine if you had detailed guides to help understand the basics but i’m afraid your documentation is extremely lightweight – you assume a great deal of existing knowledge and don’t explain the basics.
Coming to this as a first time website builder i really think that you should market it as for people with website building experience and/or provide a great deal more information.
I am going to persist for a while longer but am increasingly thinking that i will have to ditch it for something easier with better guidance.

Hi,

All pro demos are using cloud templates from tagDiv Cloud Library, these can be edited only with tagDiv Composer, so you are using a single post templates this can be edited with tagDiv Composer and you can adjust it as you want -> https://i.imgur.com/eMV43pi.png use the right click to remove elements -> https://i.imgur.com/MVBO1sm.png after you remove all the elements from sidebar set the set row from 2 in 1 -> https://i.imgur.com/ofpISOQ.png

If you are using a pro demo, the footer is a cloud template, then you’ll need to edit it from a page, for example, you can edit the homepage, click on edit with tagDiv Composer -> https://i.imgur.com/uweNRrc.jpg after that go down to the footer end edit it how you want (now you can customize the the whole web-page from fronted).

The standard templates can be edited only with custom css and using the settings from theme panel.

Thank you!

Thank you Calin
However, as i mentioned in my previous post i realise that the footer needs to be edited using the TD composer but can’t seem to be able to change colours. in the footer panel there is no style tab so you seem to have to change the background gradient. however, when i changed that and saved the change it made no difference.
Can you point out where on TD composer i need to make the change of colour for the footer?
many thanks
James

Hi jamesrobson,

Please note that not all elements from our theme has the same options, therefore not all elements will had the style tab in tagDiv Composer, but all elements will have the General and css tab. css tab is the same for all elements and in general tab can be set some general settings that can be apply on that element.
So if you want to add a gradient on footer zone (or header zone) you need to click on some element from that zone and click on footer -> https://i.imgur.com/AzKBxCm.png then it will be display the options for footer zone then you can use the elements from css -> https://i.imgur.com/UnxaSJw.png or from general -> https://i.imgur.com/BZWbOnI.png also note that in order to see the changes, you need to set the background for the rows in the footer zone on transparent -> https://i.imgur.com/GZo5R4m.png the results will be -> https://i.imgur.com/XATVgCX.png

Hope this will help you!
