Newspaper theme won't let me add my social media pages

Hi I bought the newspaper theme recently for an online news agency. However it won’t allow me to change the social media pages. It keeps displaying the text that came with the demo even if I change the social media page IDs to the real that I want to be displayed. Any help with that or am I not doing something correctly.

Hello,

I think the problem is because the settings are not saved, so please do a test using only tagdiv plugins and check the console -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/tagdiv-composer-does-not-save-only-content-of-homepage/

Thank you!

I am still having no success with this. This is the message that comes up when someone visits the website and clicks on the social icon like the facebook one.
“This content isn’t available at the moment
When this happens, it’s usually because the owner only shared it with a small group of people or changed who can see it, or it’s been deleted.”

Again i’m not sure what I need to do to fix this. So it’s working for twitter now but for Facebook, the above message comes up.

Hello @crispenn!

Did you check if your feeds are set to “public” so that everyone can see them?
Please provide more information about how you’ve tried to add them and where (link).
A solution for sending a screenshot/video is this:
Download, capture, and send: https://www.techsmith.com/jing-tool.html
After making the screenshot, you will have a link; paste it here.

Thank you!

Hello @crispenn!

You need to add a link to your Facebook or Instagram profile, not a name, in that social icons element.
Also, in the second element, you need to add your ID, which is the ID from the link, not the name.

That’s what I was doing but it’s working fine now. The issue was even if I added the links to the icons the moment I saved it, it was reverting to the default inputs from the demo. So you basically have to do it a few times until it saves the links you want. Thank you for your help.

Hello,

I’m glad that you solved the problem.
Maybe you have an object cache, which is why this problem appears. You can change it if you have a file like an object cache.

Thank you!
