Has anyone managed to get Newspaper6 to work with NGINX where by when I click on the secondpage e.g newspaper.com/page/2/ and it redirected back to homepage ? I tried googling around for solution, setting vhost $uri and etc. Still couldnt get it to work.
Any help is appreciated.

Are you sure that isn’t t he pagination bug with WP 4.41 ?
NGINX doesn’t handle permalinks, WordPress does, and generally via the htaccess file or comparable.
Note the sticky thread on bug in WP 4.41 which will be fixed in WP 4.42; and there is temp workaround posted.

I thought it was nginx, because just recently I was solving the 404 redirection.
