I tried to create a link from LinkedIn to the URL shown below, which is a test post on my site running Newspaper. LinkedIn would not create a link and returned a “Sorry, we were unable to retrieve information about your link. Please try another link.” error instead. Do you have any idea why LinkedIn would not create a link?

If you want to add the LinkedIn to you website check in Theme panel>Social networks -> https://www.screencast.com/t/blC0OPNF9y
If is not this what you mean please provide some more details and some screenshots.
