As Js composer team have integrated font-awesome-CSS, user don’t need to install Font Awesome 4 Menus plugin. Installing this plugin adds unnecessary one more CSS to you your code along with one external CSS in performance result.

Indeed, the Visual Composer loads the Font Awesome library but it seems to be so unstable this feature and those fonts seem to be applied only to the pages where the Visual Compose is used and that’s why we recommend the Font Awesome for Menus plugin.
