NoFollow Attribute on AMP Internal Links

Hello everyone,

We have noticed while running a site SEO audit through SEMrush that a warning appears affecting many AMP pages on our site. We noticed that URL strings are being altered to include parameters we haven’t specified that we believe may be related to the TagDiv Composer or the Newspaper theme. Here is an example of an AMP URL that is affected:

Correct link:
https://thefreshtoast.com/adventure/a-foolproof-guide-kinda-to-surviving-a-shark-attack/?amp

Broken link:
https://thefreshtoast.com/adventure/a-foolproof-guide-kinda-to-surviving-a-shark-attack/{{td_query_all_results}}?amp

You’ll notice the broken link returns a 404. We are unsure where this URL string is coming from in the first place but the “td” abbreviation in the URL lends itself to TagDiv, hence why we are here looking for support. Has anybody encountered something similar? Thank you in advance for any assistance and please let me know if you need more information to look into this.

Hi,

Please send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide admin login, as well as cPanel or FTP if possible. We will take a look. Include a link to this topic in the email.

Thanks

Hello, did you find the solution?

btw, reminder time to retire /amp links altogether as Google abandoned that in 2023. Best to stop using them and 301 redirect all /amp or /?amp=1 endpoints to your canonical links. AMP no longer needed for mobile validation. Google has retired/abandoned AMP.
