Nothing changes front page.

No matter what category style I use, the front page always looks the same – one post stacked on another. Nothing changes it. I have gone through the tutorial, looked at the videos. The video shows if I make changes in categories and grid, I get a change, but nothing.

Hello kurtnimmo,

Your website URL is required to be added here so I will be able to provide a more accurate response.

Hello kurtnimmo,

I have checked your website and I saw that you are using a Blog mode as your homepage (by your Latest Articles). If you want that all the settings from your Theme panel to be applied to your website, you will have to switch the theme to the Static Page, like this -> http://screencast.com/t/0a8mprsS For more references in this regard, please check here -> https://codex.wordpress.org/Creating_a_Static_Front_Page

Thanks.

Using the radio button, I should be able to revert back to posts from static page. I did this, unable to modify the template using the theme editor.

OK, so I will modify the static page using the limited Visual Composer. I suppose I could upgrade this in addition to paying for the template, but I can’t afford that right now.

Maybe you can tell me how this works:

In classic mode: Homepage latest articles > General > Sidebar position. How do I unselect the position? I want the sidebar to load. This allows three selections, none show the sidebar.

Hello kurtnimmo,

I have inspected your website and I saw that you are using the pagebuilder+latest articles+pagination as page template. So, this type of page template displays your page builder content (edited by Visual Composer) at the first part and in the second part, you will bring the Latest Articles modules with a right sidebar, as you can see here -> http://screencast.com/t/0uWQrJJQrat If you want to display the sidebar in your page builder content, you will have to use 2/3+1/3 as layout, like this -> http://screencast.com/t/HFufztML8pc For more information about how you can use the Visual Composer plugin, please check our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-use-visual-composer/

Hope this helps!
