NOTICE: major bug in Yoast News SEO 3.5 Add-on 3.5

Hey, party people, avoid upgrading to the latest NEWS SEO add-on for Yoast, v 3.5 if you have any pages or slugs that start with “news”

On one site, using premium plugin + news seo

PAGE
mysite.000/wire/news-room => empty news xml sitemap

CATEGORY
anothersite.111/news/ => empty news xml sitemap

rolled back to 3.4 news seo add-on; then main back to 3.4.1; problem solved.

I have repeated this on multiple sites with use of the news seo add-on; different themes, setups, https non https, etc. – and have reported the bug on github.
